Bruxism Treatment
Bruxism (teeth clenching, jaw clenching) can be described as a disorder emerging due to the stress of everyday life affecting the subconscious and causing muscle spasms manifesting itself as teeth grinding during sleep. The person is usually unaware that they grind their teeth. Bruxism can be prevented by applying Botox on the chewing muscles on the jaw. In fact, botox was developed to eliminate spasm by removing the stress on muscles. Botox does not damage the muscle tissue. It only prevents the signal necessary for the muscle to contract, coming from the nerve to reach the muscle in that area.
